# KB-27A: Pre-event registration and post-event surveys

GP collects data at two points during the JOG lifecycle:

**During registration**

- Host registration: Gathers details about the host and allows GP to provide targeted support.
- Event registration: Informs GP of events happening globally and places the JOG in the Generosity Path database.
- Participant registration: Gives participants access to the event kit (participant notebook and Generosity Plan) and enables GP to track total reach.

Participant registration happens at the START of the event. Hosts share the unique event code at the beginning of Session 1. Participants scan the QR code shown on the welcome slide (MyJOG Portal events) or send a WhatsApp message to +44 7403 657854 (USB-based JOG Lite events). They then follow the prompts to register using their email or phone number.

**Post-event surveys**

- Participant survey: Collects insights on the JOG's effectiveness — heart, head, and hands impact. Completed at the close of the event, or via a reminder the following day. Anonymous and used only for internal improvement.
- Host survey: Captures the host's perspective on how the event went, attendance, and outcomes such as giving group formation. Complete this immediately after closing remarks.

For USB-based JOG Lite events, participants complete their surveys via WhatsApp (+44 7403 657854). Send a follow-up reminder the day after the event with the WhatsApp number and event code.

**Next step:**  Share the event code with participants at the start of Session 1. Complete your host survey before leaving the event.
