JOG Core overview
JOG Core is the foundation of everything Generosity Path does. It consists of four sessions, each lasting 75–90 minutes, and can be delivered as a single-day immersion or spread across four weekly sessions — whichever rhythm fits your group best. The four sessions guide participants through a journey from heart to head to hands:
- Session 1 – What does it mean to be generous? (75 min): Opens the journey by deconstructing existing assumptions and cultural narratives about giving. Participants share their stories and begin to see generosity through a fresh lens.
- Session 2 – Exploring God's heart of generosity (75 min): Establishes the biblical foundation. Participants explore what Scripture says about God as a generous giver and what that means for how they live.
- Session 3 – The practice of living generously (75 min): Makes the message practical. Participants reflect on what a generous life could look like in their everyday context — work, family, community.
- Session 4 – Generosity and Purpose (90 min): The culminating session. Participants build their personal Generosity Plan — a prayerful document outlining how, when, and where they feel called to give. This session invites a personal, heart-led commitment to a new life of generosity.
JOG Core works well for business leaders and ministry leaders. It is the recommended starting format for first-time participants and mixed groups. As always, there is no cost and no fundraising — the sole focus is on creating a safe, prayerful space for honest dialogue.
Sessions can be facilitated using video presenters (for easy rollout) or facilitator notes (for a more personalised approach). Resources are accessed through the MyJOG Portal and can be streamed or downloaded.
