JOG duration options: one-day, overnight, and weekly
One of the strengths of the JOG is its flexibility in scheduling. All three formats (Core, Plus, and Lite) can be adapted to different timeframes:
The one-day experience:
- All sessions delivered in one location on a single day, with breaks for refreshments and lunch.
- Recommended for JOG Core and JOG Lite.
- Full experience takes approximately 6–7 hours, including breaks.
- Best for groups who cannot commit to multiple gatherings, or for settings like conferences or church events.
The overnight/two-day experience:
- All sessions delivered over two days, typically as an organised retreat.
- Recommended for JOG Plus.
- Ideal for participants who have travelled a distance or who would benefit from more time for reflection, networking, and relationship building between sessions.
The weekly experience:
- Sessions are spread across several weeks, with each meeting covering one or two sessions.
- Recommended for JOG Core (four weeks) and JOG Plus (six or more weeks).
- Ideal for churches using the content in home groups or alongside a Sunday teaching series.
- Allows participants to live out the content between sessions and share what they are discovering.
When choosing a duration, consider your group's schedules, travel constraints, and spiritual goals. Your regional coordinator can advise on which approach works best in your cultural context.
