# KB-17: How to register and host a JOG

Hosting a JOG involves four steps: register as a host, register your event, review your materials, and invite your guests. Both online (MyJOG Portal) and WhatsApp registration options are available.

There are two ways to register as a host and set up your JOG event: via the MyJOG Portal (preferred) or via the WhatsApp chatbot (for regions with limited internet access).

**Via the MyJOG Portal**

- Register as a host at https://my.generositypath.org/auth/register — registration is free.
- Log in and navigate to the MyJOGs tab. Click 'Register a new JOG.'
- Complete all event details: format (Core, Plus, or Lite), audience type, event setting (in person or online), duration, facilitation style (videos or notes), and estimated number of participants.
- Submit to generate your unique event code. Your event page will then display: the unique event code, all session videos (with durations), hosting guide, participant notebook, Generosity Plan, survey links (host survey and participant survey), and Giving Group Workshop materials (for Plus and Lite events).

**Via WhatsApp (for USB/offline contexts)**

- Send a WhatsApp message to +44 7403 657854 and follow the chatbot prompts to register as a host and set up your event.
- You will receive a unique event code via the chatbot upon completion.

Not sure if you're ready? You can register a Test JOG to explore all materials without running a live event. Simply tick the 'Test JOG' option during registration.

To edit an event after registration, return to MyJOGs, select the event, and click 'Edit.' To cancel, click 'Cancel'. The event code remains the same if you reschedule.

Once registered, take time to review your materials, pray for your participants, and use the invitation templates in the Promotional Resources section to invite guests — reminding them this is a free, no-pressure experience.
