KB-26B: Growing your invitation strategy as a repeat host

As you host more JOGs, broaden your invitation strategy to reach different circles and audiences.

After hosting your first JOG, you may feel called to reach more people. Growing your invitation strategy means thinking beyond your immediate circle. Consider different spheres of influence: your church community, workplace, professional network, neighbourhood, extended family, or social groups.

Each audience may respond to a different format — business leaders might prefer a focused Core experience, while a church small group might enjoy Plus with deeper reflection time. When inviting new groups, personalise your message and share your own experience. Use the JOG Audiences guide for suggestions on tailoring the conversation.

Don't be discouraged by declines — it often takes multiple invitations before someone says yes. Invite more people than you need, as cancellations are normal. Connect with other hosts in your region through your ROC to share ideas and encouragement. As you grow, you may naturally begin developing new hosts from among your participants — this is the beginning of multiplication.

Next step:  Explore the JOG Audiences guide  and connect with your ROC for ideas.
