Host Quick Start Checklist

Before the event

  • Pray and invite the Holy Spirit to prepare you and your participants.
  • Register as a host and register your event. Save the unique event code.
  • Confirm your format (Core/Plus/Lite) and delivery method (Portal or USB).
  • Print the Participant Notebook, Generosity Plan, and 2-page Hosting Guide if providing physical copies.
  • Familiarise yourself with the sessions and the Generosity Plan.
  • Invite guests using materials from the Promotional Resources section.
  • Test your technology: confirm portal logins and download videos if needed (Portal users), or open all files to check they play correctly (USB users).
  • Set up the room or virtual space: arrange seating in circles or small groups. For groups over 12, plan breakout groups of 6–12.

During the event

  • Welcome participants and share the unique event code for registration. Project the welcome slide.
  • Hand out printed Participant Notebooks and Generosity Plans if applicable.
  • Follow the Hosting Guide step by step.
  • For groups over 12: assign breakout groups from the start and ask each group to nominate a group lead.
  • Encourage all voices; affirm authenticity and vulnerability.
  • Instruct participants to complete the participant survey before closing. Complete your own host survey.

After the event

  • Encourage participants to consider next steps — hosting or giving together.
  • If a Giving Group is forming, prepare to run the Giving Group Workshop immediately or schedule it for a later date.
  • Send a thank-you message and survey reminder the following day.
  • Identify and encourage potential new hosts.
